今年,臺灣音樂學會與臺灣音樂學論壇將第九度合辦年度研討會,希望募集到更多學科內外的知識生產者發表研究成果、促進交流,並共同深化在地音樂研究與其社會影響。今年度研討會將依循往例不設主題,希望藉此納百家言、表眾家意。竭誠邀請諸位共襄盛舉、踴躍投稿。

徵稿對象:

接受各領域音樂相關研究,凡從事音樂相關研究之研究生或學者均可投稿。


徵稿類別

  1. 單篇論文:與音樂學相關領域之研究成果。
  2. 小組專題討論:針對特定主題,以三至四人為一組提出申請。


會議使用語言:

會議使用語言為中文與英語。摘要可用中文或英文書寫。


投稿方式:

  1. 單篇論文:請填入論文題目、中文500至700字摘要(或英文250至300字摘要,摘要字數不符規定者將不予受理)、關鍵字,及任教學校或正在就讀校系。請線上投稿於此:https://forms.gle/bpCD7TiPu1qpZdCX6
  2. 小組專題討論:除每位發表人的單篇論文摘要與關鍵字外,必須提交一份小組摘要與關鍵字,小組摘要中文以500至700字(或英文250至300字)為限。請線上投稿於此:https://forms.gle/LAfQxZRkbXzaaDTEA
  3. 注意事項:投稿摘要的標題與內容,若涉及投稿者身分揭露,可能失去參與資格。


審稿機制:

  1. 本年度研討會學術委員將由論壇代表組成,根據摘要議題的原創性及學術貢獻進行雙向匿名審查。
  2. 審查結果將於2024年7月1日公佈。錄取者之名單,將公佈於臺灣音樂學會網站臺灣音樂學會臉書
  3. 摘要內容應清楚表達主要研究論點、與過去相關研究之關聯性、使用材料與方法、對音樂學研究之貢獻與意義。
  4. 投稿小組專題討論者,若其中有單篇論文未通過審查,發生小組發表人數不足三人時,通過審查者將調整為單篇論文發表。

  3. 臺灣音樂學會為鼓勵年輕學者投入研究,今年度將設置「優秀學生論文獎」,歡迎發表者於會議結束2週內重新整理為短篇論文,於12月15日前投稿至taiwanmusicology@gmail.com,由學術委員審查評選後公布結果,詳情請參考臺灣音樂學會「臺灣音樂學論壇優秀學生論文獎」。

The Tradition and Future of Music —

The 2024 Taiwan Society for Music Studies and Taiwan Musicology Forum  Annual Meeting


The program committee of the Taiwan Society for Music Studies and Taiwan Musicology Forum invites abstract submissions for their ninth joint meeting. The event promotes academic presentations and scholarly exchanges in and beyond the discipline of musicology (broadly defined). Seeking to enhance the research on local and regional musical traditions and their social and cultural impact, the committee encourages diverse disciplinary and methodological approaches to the topics. As with the past joint meetings, this annual meeting is not themed.

Acceptance Announced: July 1, 2024 (Monday)
Conference Dates: November 30, December 1, 2024 (Saturday, Sunday)
Conference Venue: National Taiwan University
Host: Taiwan Society for Music Studies and National Taiwan University


Eligibility
:

Scholars and graduate students who conduct research related to music (broadly   defined)


Forms of Presentations:

  1. Individual paper: outcome of scholarly research in music.
  2. Panel discussion: a panel consisting of 3-4 presenters focused on a specific theme.


Languages:
 

The official languages of the conference are Mandarin Chinese and English. Abstracts can be written in either Chinese or English.


Method of Submission:

  1. For individual papers, please submit an abstract (in either Chinese or English), including a title and keywords. Abstracts in Chinese should be 500-700 words. Abstracts in English should be 250-300 words. Please submit abstracts here: https://forms.gle/bpCD7TiPu1qpZdCX6
  2. For panel discussions, please submit an abstract (with a title and keywords) of the entire panel and individual abstracts (with a title and keywords) from each of the panelists. Abstracts in Chinese should be 500-700 words. Abstracts in English should be 250-300 words. Please submit the abstracts here: https://forms.gle/LAfQxZRkbXzaaDTEA
  3. Note: Identity of the author(s) should remain concealed from the title and content of the abstract.


Review Procedures:

  1. The program committee consists of representatives from the Forum. The papers will be selected by a double-blind review process that takes the originality and academic contribution of the abstracts into account.
  2. Acceptances will be announced no later than July 1, 2024. The titles of accepted abstracts will be posted on the website of Taiwan Society for Music Studies and its Facebook.
  3. A successful abstract should convey the author’s major argument(s), methodologies, and primary examples, and relate them to current scholarship. It should also show the project’s significance and its contribution to the field.  
  4. For panel discussion, if one or more abstracts in a panel are not accepted, resulting in fewer than 3 (accepted) papers in the panel, the accepted paper(s) of the panel will be scheduled as individual papers.

  2. Presenters are invited to expand their papers into journal articles and submit them to Formosan Journal of Music Research.
  3. In an effort to encourage more young scholars to become involved with the academic study of music, we have created a Best Student Paper Award for this year’s conference. Student presenters are invited to submit their papers for consideration within two weeks after the conference. For those who are interested in competing for the award, please submit your paper to taiwanmusicology@gmail.com by December 15, 2024.
